In Limbo
I was talking to Anke earlier today and we were lamenting the distance between each other and the administrative issues we need to deal with. She's in Germany, waiting for her qualifications from Australia to be recognized, without which she's jobless and broke.
I'm here, on a tourist visa unable to earn my keep. She's having a horribly frustrating time, and her despair resonates in all our worlds too. He’s getting frustrated with his job, wanting more from it and life, yet wanting to do what he loves best as a career. She's on her way back to Norway, since her education there would be free and she's having issues with work, job satisfaction, being transferred to T1 and being replaced in T2 by some bimbo, not to mention the economic climate there.
So here we are, waiting, praying, despondent, irate and dismal, sitting on our respective, albeit wobbly perch, feeling introspective on the unfathomable future.
Argh.

~ Another legend gone
~ In the middle of all this lament, I was talking to Amanda, who was in class with me and my ride from work to uni last year, and she has just been promoted to Promotions & Marketing Coordinator at Community Newspaper Group after being there a year. *sigh*
